Magdalena Miecznicka

Magdalena Miecznicka – a writer,
playwright and journalist. She has
published two novels and two children’s
books, and written several plays which
have been produced for TV and radio and
which have won several prizes. Since 2017,
she has been living in London, where she
contributes to the “Financial Times” and
the “LA Review of Books”, and is writing
plays and fiction in English. Her first
English play Nineteen Gardens will be
staged by the Hampstead Theatre in
London in the 2023/2024 season.
She has lived in the US and France
and speaks fluent English and French,
and good Spanish.
Happiness is her third Polish novel.
